For over 120 years, Mohawk has been a trusted name in carpets. Today Mohawk is the leading producer and distributor of flooring in the United States. All major floor covering categories; carpet, rugs, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile and vinyl flooring can be purchased at an authorized Mohawk Dealer for residential and commercial applications.

The company operates under four separate divisions, each with its own products, features and brand names.

Residential Flooring

The Residential division’s purpose is to serve the needs of customers that sell flooring products directly to the general public. These customers include local and regional Dealer Operators, many of which operate Floor Covering stores in their market areas, as well as large chain stores such as Lowe’s, Home Depot and the other similar chains.

Products available through this division include carpet, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile and vinyl flooring.

Commercial Flooring

The Commercial Flooring division’s purpose is to serve the needs of large volume commercial customers such as building contractors, high-rise architects, and shopping malls. These customers are not in the business of reselling Mohawk’s products, but instead they use them in large-scale projects that they manage or build.

Products available through this division are similar to those available through the Residential Flooring division and include high-end and industrial grades of carpet, hardwood, laminate, ceramic tile and vinyl flooring.

Mohawk brands represented by the Commercial division include Karastan, Bigelow, Mohawk and Durkan Commercial Floor Coverings.

Mohawk Home

Mohawk Home is the portion of the company that produces and markets individual rugs. These rugs run the gamut from kitchen throw rugs to elegant woven masterpieces used in many of the finest homes and buildings in the world. Mohawk Home’s customers are similar and at times include some of the same companies that sell Residential Flooring products, but also include department stores, boutiques and other rug sales outlets.

Mohawk Home operates under the Goodwin Weavers, American Rug Craftsman, Newmark Rugs and Karastan Rugs brands.

Ceramic Tile

The Ceramic Tile division’s purpose is to market and sell ceramic and natural stone floor coverings. Customers include local and regional Dealer Operators, many of which operate Floor Covering stores in their market areas, as well as large chain stores such as Lowe’s, Home Depot and the other similar chains.

Ceramic Tile’s products are sold under the Dal-Tile and American Olean brand names.
